Pittsburgh Steelers William Gay to Receive Special Honor
Dale Jones co-owns and serves as CEO of four Paul Mitchell Schools in Tennessee and Kentucky. During his personal time, Dale Jones enjoys traveling and following his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL).
The only state with its own Pro Football Hall of Fame, Kentucky announced Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback William Gay will be inducted in June 2017. As an alumnus of the University of Louisville in Kentucky, the first-team All-Big East player participated in 46 games, starting in 26 while recording 1 sack, 7 interceptions, 25 pass breakups, and 134 tackles in his collegiate career.
The Steelers’ fifth-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Gay has contributed 3 fumble recoveries, 8 forced fumbles, 12 interceptions, 7 sacks, and 582 career tackles. As a part of Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl XLIII championship team, he made 5 interception returns for touchdowns, a Steelers team record.
Gay will join former Steelers center Dermontti Dawson in the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame, along with all-time greats Johnny Unitas, George McAfee, George Blanda, and Paul Hornung.
